Before paying for a Char Dham Yatra package, ask for the exact route, travel dates, registration responsibility, transport, stays, meals, permits, exclusions, weather-change plan, cancellation terms and support contact. The official Tourist Care portal should be the source for current registration requirements; a package provider cannot replace that check.
Registration and eligibility
Ask who registers each pilgrim and vehicle, what information is needed, when confirmation is issued and where verification happens. Open the official portal yourself because rules, dates and slots can change.
Route and stay reality
Request a day-by-day route with overnight locations, room type, meal plan, vehicle details and expected travel effort. Ask how the provider handles a late arrival, road closure, weather disruption or an unavailable property.
What is excluded
Clarify permits, entry or registration charges, meals outside the plan, porters, pony or helicopter services, personal medicines, extra nights, taxes and emergency changes. Never assume a premium-sounding package covers every on-route expense.
Payment and support
The invoice should identify the provider, recipient, amount, due dates, refund/cancellation rules and support channels. Save the confirmation and ask who is reachable while the group is travelling.
